    Day 1: Spain - Spanish Omelette
    On Day 1, we’ll whip up Spain’s beloved Tortilla Española! Kids will layer potatoes, onions, and eggs to create this hearty breakfast staple. Did you know? Unlike French omelettes, this dish is served thick and often enjoyed cold at picnics. A sizzling start to explore Spanish cuisine and knife-free cooking skills!

    第1日:西班牙 - 西班牙奄列
    首日動手做西班牙國民早餐Tortilla Española!孩子們將學習疊加薯仔、洋蔥與蛋液,煎出厚實香濃的奄列。你知道嗎?這道菜冷吃更地道,常作野餐便當!從中認識西班牙飲食文化,同時鍛煉安全煎煮技巧。
    Day 2: China - Pork & Egg Fried Rice
    Day 2 brings the wok to life with classic Pork & Egg Fried Rice! Students will master stir-frying techniques while learning how leftover rice becomes a flavorful dish. Fun fact: Fried rice dates back 1,500 years in China! Discover the science of high-heat cooking and balancing savory flavors.

    第2日:中國 - 蛋炒飯
    第二天熱鬧「鑊氣」登場!學做經典蛋炒飯,掌握拋鑊技巧,了解隔夜飯為何更適合炒製。冷知識:炒飯在中國已有1,500年歷史!從油溫控制到調味平衡,體現中式快炒科學。
    Day 3: England - Banoffee Pie Parfait
    On Day 3, we’ll reinvent the iconic Banoffee Pie into a no-bake parfait! Layer crushed biscuits, caramel, bananas, and whipped cream while learning about this 1970s British invention. Sweet trivia: Its name blends “banana” and “toffee”! A delicious lesson in dessert assembly and food history.

    第3日:英國 - 香蕉拖肥批芭菲
    第三日創意改造英倫經典甜點Banoffee Pie!無需焗爐,層疊消化餅碎、焦糖、香蕉與忌廉,認識這款1970年代誕生的甜品。趣味解謎:菜名原是「香蕉+拖肥」的合成詞!甜蜜學習食物歷史與擺盤美學。
    Day 4: Vietnam - Vietnamese Rice Rolls
    Day 4 celebrates freshness with Vietnamese Rice Rolls (Gỏi cuốn)! Kids will wrap shrimp, herbs, and rice noodles in delicate rice paper, paired with tangy dipping sauce. Did you know? These rolls symbolize “luck” in Vietnam. A hands-on dive into vibrant textures and Southeast Asian flavors!

    第4日:越南 - 越南米紙卷
    第四日體驗越南米紙卷的清新哲學!用透薄米紙包裹鮮蝦、香草與米粉,搭配酸辣魚露蘸醬。你知道嗎?米紙卷在越南象徵「好運」!動手感受東南亞飲食中質感與香氣的平衡之道。"
    Day 5: Korea - Japchae
    On Day 5, we’ll stir-fry Japchae, Korea’s festive glass noodle dish! Using sweet potato starch noodles, veggies, and sesame oil, students will learn balancing sweet-salty flavors. Fun fact: Japchae was first made for royal banquets! A colorful finale celebrating Korean traditions and knife skills.

    第5日:韓國 - 雜菜雜菜炒粉絲
    壓軸日炒製韓國節慶料理雜菜!以地瓜粉水晶粉絲拌炒蔬菜,調配甜鹹適中的韓式醬油,最後灑上靈魂香芝麻。冷知識:雜菜原是朝鮮王朝宮廷菜!從切絲技巧到擺盤,感受韓食的色彩美學。

About the course

Our weekly thematic summer programme is an integrated English programme teaching reading, writing, listening & speaking skill with fun activities such as cooking, arts and craft. 

Course features

  • Each week has a fun activity-based theme with a fun activity in each lesson that students will take part making under teacher's supervision

  • Each lesson is 2 hours long

  • A certificate will be awarded with the total number of tuition hours completed

How to enrol

There are up to 7 individual weeks from 14th July to 29th August​, check out our Schedule page for the Summer Programme class schedule of your nearest Babington centre.

Kindergarten Level Learning Outcomes

  • Build English language foundation

  • Increase vocabulary through flashcards and stories

  • Improve speaking, listening & comprehension through the weekly fun themes and simply engaging in more conversation with students

  • Continue to build on synthetic phonics skills to develop mastery of reading and writing

Primary Level Learning Outcomes

  • Continue with the systematic, structured & progressive curriculum as our regular programme

  • Continued exposure and reinforcement of grammar through writing

  • Creative writing through using different text types to broaden writing abilities

  • Comprehension skill development through critical thinking

  • Enhanced speaking & listening through expanding children's vocabulary through stories and themes
